[News] Wenders lines up Taiwan classes

Fresh from his jury duty at the recently concluded Venice Film Festival, Wim Wenders is set to hold a series of film master classes in Taipei next month.
Lectures, which run Oct. 24-30, are arranged to coincide with the Taiwanese DVD release of his “Lisbon Story.”
The German director will also scout locations for “First Page Taipei,” which he will exec produce. Four weeks of lensing are skedded to begin in late November.
To be helmed by Taiwanese director Arvin Chen, “First Page” is a love story played out over one night in Taipei.
The $1 million film was one of 15 projects chosen for this year’s L’Atelier du Festival program at Cannes, which aims to help match arthouse films with international production coin. There it was presented by its German producer Greensky Films. Taiwanese production and distribution shingle Atom Cinema has since boarded the pic.
